Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The five-day World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 concluded in Davos on March 23.
This year's meeting was themed "The Spirit of Dialogue." According to a statement released by the World Economic Forum, nearly 3,000 delegates from around the world participated, including nearly 65 heads of state and government, and nearly 830 CEOs and board chairpersons. Approximately 200 meetings and workshops were held during the meeting.
The statement said that against the backdrop of the most complex geopolitical situation in decades, this year's meeting provided a crucial and leading international platform for open dialogue among leaders. Participants worked to find consensus on the world's most pressing challenges, including peace and security, technology, growth, human well-being, and the future of the planet.
World Economic Forum President and CEO Borg Brende said, "This is a time of uncertainty, but also a time of possibility; not a time to retreat, but a time to engage." “The World Economic Forum is not focused on reacting to current events, but on creating the right conditions to propel us forward.”
“We believe that economic progress should be shared more broadly. We believe that prosperity should benefit a wider range of people. We believe that institutions like the World Economic Forum remain important in achieving this goal,” noted Larry Fink, Interim Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum.
The World Economic Forum is a non-governmental international organization dedicated to researching and discussing issues in the global economy and promoting international economic cooperation and exchange. Its predecessor was the European Management Forum, founded by Klaus Schwab in 1971. In 1987, the European Management Forum was renamed the World Economic Forum. (End)
