Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to a report released on the 22nd by Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), the first 10,800-vehicle LNG dual-fuel car carrier (PCTC) built by GSI for South Korea's HMM was launched from its dock in Nansha, Guangzhou on the 21st.

The 10,800-vehicle LNG dual-fuel car carrier is currently the largest car carrier built in China. It is 230 meters long, 40 meters wide, and has a structural draft of 10.5 meters. It utilizes an LNG (liquefied natural gas)/fuel dual-fuel propulsion system, balancing environmental protection and high efficiency. Its 14-deck car deck design (including 5 movable decks) allows for flexible loading of diverse cargo, including electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and heavy trucks, with a maximum vehicle capacity of 10,800 vehicles per vessel.

The ship's construction technology is complex and requires extremely high standards. Upon launching, the vessel was found to be in good condition. (End)
