Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On December 17th, with the smooth landing of China Eastern Airlines flight MU9801 at Yinchuan Hedong International Airport, Ningxia Airport Company's annual passenger throughput officially exceeded 10 million. During the same period, transport flights handled 77,700 takeoffs and landings, and cargo and mail throughput reached 49,100 tons, with all core indicators climbing simultaneously. Ningxia has thus returned to the ranks of the national "ten-million-level" aviation market.

On the same day, airports in Yinchuan, Zhongwei, and Guyuan held simultaneous celebrations to commemorate this milestone.

As a crucial component of regional transportation development, Ningxia Airport Company proactively integrates into national development strategies and the overall local development strategy, building an efficient and convenient three-dimensional transportation system with the aviation network as its link. By the end of 2025, Ningxia had attracted 30 airlines to operate there, increasing the number of cities served to 81 and the total number of routes to 131. This has formed a backbone route network covering major domestic economic zones such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, with international and regional routes reaching Dubai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and other destinations. Yinchuan Airport's innovative integrated transportation system of "air-to-air transfer + air-rail intermodal transport + ground-based outreach" has yielded significant results, with transit passengers expected to reach 802,000 and air-rail intermodal passenger traffic exceeding 1.2 million in 2025.

Based on its differentiated development positioning, Ningxia Airport Company has created a "one trunk, two branch" coordinated development model, promoting resource complementarity and functional synergy among the three airports. Yinchuan Hedong International Airport continues to optimize its route network and upgrade its transfer services, solidifying its position as a core hub. Zhongwei Shapotou Airport is deeply exploring the potential of "aviation + tourism" integration, leveraging the "Hometown of Stars" cultural tourism IP to launch multiple charter flight routes. Passenger throughput is expected to exceed 320,000 in 2025, breaking the record since its opening. Guyuan Liupanshan Airport focuses on serving rural revitalization, opening routes to major labor-exporting provinces in eastern China and organizing charter flights for migrant workers, while also helping Ningxia's specialty agricultural products reach markets nationwide.

The improved quality and efficiency of air transport is injecting strong momentum into Ningxia's high-quality economic and social development. Currently, cargo routes at Ningxia's airports connect to important domestic logistics hubs such as Ezhou and Hangzhou, providing strong support for the development of high-end manufacturing and cross-border e-commerce industries. Specialty products such as wine and goji berries are using air express routes to accelerate their expansion into domestic and international markets. With the "Sai Shang Xing" service brand as its core, Ningxia's airports have also launched more than 10 precise service measures, such as "First Flight+", allowing passengers to experience efficient, convenient, and heartwarming air travel in Ningxia.
