Zheng Jianbang, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, stated in his speech that the real economy is the foundation of a country's economy and a crucial pillar of national strength. The "15th Five-Year Plan" proposal, reviewed and approved by the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, explicitly places "building a modern industrial system and consolidating and strengthening the foundation of the real economy" at the forefront of its strategic tasks, further highlighting the important position of the real economy. As a strategic technology and core driving force, artificial intelligence, by fully leveraging its empowering role in the real economy, will help transform my country's advantages in industrial scale, market scale, and data scale into a winning advantage for high-quality development, building a strong material and technological foundation for Chinese-style modernization.
Zheng Jianbang emphasized that we must proactively improve our domestic industrial layout and actively participate in international industrial cooperation, transforming artificial intelligence into a key force driving technological change, optimizing resource allocation, and improving system efficiency, thereby gaining an advantage and securing the future in international competition and cooperation during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. We must further streamline the transformation channel from "scientific discovery—technological invention—industrial development," accelerate the release of the deep integration dividends of artificial intelligence, and continuously promote the construction of a modern industrial system. We must strengthen economic and trade cooperation, enhance industrial complementarity, improve the resilience of cross-strait industrial and supply chains, and foster mutual understanding and consensus through integrated development, jointly writing a new chapter in cross-strait integrated development.
Wu Qingwen, Deputy Secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Suzhou, stated that Suzhou will take this conference as an opportunity to vigorously promote new industrialization, accelerate the implementation of the "Artificial Intelligence+" action, further strengthen AI empowerment, deepen integrated innovation, focus on cultivating a number of cutting-edge technologies, and continuously promote the extension of the industrial chain, the integration of the innovation chain, and the upgrading of the value chain in the new display field, serving the development of the real economy.
During the conference, Academician You Xiaohu of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor of Southeast University, Liu Wenqiang, Vice President of the China Electronics and Information Industry Development Research Institute, and Qiu Shuiping, Chief Technology Officer of Industrial Software at Huawei Group, delivered keynote speeches. Zhang Yuning, director of the Display Technology Research Center at Southeast University, released a research report entitled "Research and Analysis of the Development of the New Display Industry." Several joint projects were also launched at the conference, focusing on audiovisual electronics and AI servers.
