  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of August 8th, the exchange rates for both the US dollar and the Chinese yuan at various commercial banks in Vietnam decreased.

  The State Bank of Vietnam set the central parity rate of the Vietnamese dong against the US dollar at 25,228, an increase of 11 basis points from the previous trading day. With the dong-to-dollar trading band at ±5%, the upper limit for the USD/VND exchange rate at various banks today was 26,489 VND, and the lower limit was 23,967 VND.

  At 8:30 AM today, Vietcombank and BIDV set their buying and selling rates for the US dollar at 26,030 VND and 26,390 VND respectively, both down 20 VND from the previous trading day.

  Vietcombank's buying and selling rates for the Chinese yuan were 3,593 VND and 3,708 VND respectively, both down 2 VND from the previous trading day.

  The buying and selling rates for the Chinese yuan at Vietnam Investment and Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank were VND 3,601 and VND 3,699 respectively, down VND 3 and VND 2 respectively from the previous trading day. (End)
