Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On August 5th, the customs authorities at the Mong Cai International Border Crossing in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam, announced that they had recently completed formal customs clearance procedures for nearly 22 tons of shelled fresh coconuts, which were exported to the Chinese market via the Beilun No. 2 Bridge border crossing. This is the first batch of fresh coconuts exported through this border crossing in 2025, demonstrating the potential and effectiveness of Vietnam's high-value-added agricultural product exports.
The shipment, totaling 2,190 boxes and weighing 21,900 kg, was exported by Quan Minh Investment Joint Stock Company. The coconuts originated from Ben Tre Province, with the planting area code VN-BTOR-0188 and packaging code VN-BTPH-064, fully meeting export standards. The smooth customs clearance of this shipment reflects the close cooperation between various functional departments, creating favorable conditions for bilateral trade activities.
This batch of fresh coconuts is the second batch exported since the Beilun No. 2 Bridge border crossing officially began processing fresh coconut customs clearance procedures in 2024.
Previously, on October 25, 2024, a shipment of goods (2,430 boxes, approximately 23.5 tons) from Haining Import and Export Trade Service Co., Ltd. successfully cleared customs, marking the first batch of fresh coconuts exported.
The Mong Cai International Border Gate Customs pledged to continue working alongside businesses to create all necessary favorable conditions for the legitimate export of agricultural products, especially fresh coconuts, helping to enhance the value and competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market.
