(hereinafter referred to as "China Railway Beijing") that the first steel cage for the underground continuous wall of the Tianjin Airport Station of the Beijing-Binhai Intercity Railway was successfully hoisted on the 24th, marking the full-scale commencement of construction of the Tianjin Airport Station.
The Beijing-Binhai Intercity Railway is an important component of the "Railway-based Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region". In December 2022, the Baodi-Beichen section and the Baodi Station, Baodi South Station, and Beichen Station along the line operated by China Railway Beijing were opened to traffic. Currently, the second phase of the project, the Beichen-Binhai New Area section, invested and constructed by Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Intercity Railway Investment Co., Ltd., is progressing rapidly. The Tianjin Airport Station of the Beijing-Binhai Intercity Railway is located east of Terminal 2 of Tianjin Airport, and is a three-story underground structure, jointly constructed by China Railway Construction Engineering Group and China Railway Construction Corporation.
It is reported that after the Beijing-Binhai Intercity Railway is fully operational, it will form a large-scale comprehensive transportation hub at Tianjin Binhai Airport, integrating multiple modes of transportation such as railways, civil aviation, and subways.
