Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Recently, the Hanoi Municipal Department of Industry and Trade held a ceremony to award the title of 35 key industrial products for Hanoi in 2025, as well as to recognize the top ten key industrial products in Hanoi.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vu Nguyen Phong, Director of the Hanoi Municipal Department of Industry and Trade, pointed out that the Hanoi Key Industrial Products Development Plan aims to promote the development of industrial products that are highly competitive, rapidly growing, stable, and in line with market trends. At the same time, it meets the needs of sustainable development and environmental protection, ensuring alignment with the capital's socio-economic development strategy.
Following evaluation, 35 products from 28 enterprises were recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee as key industrial products of Hanoi. In 2024, the total revenue of these 35 products reached nearly 42 trillion VND, with exports amounting to approximately US$190 million.
Vu Nguyen Phong emphasized that among the aforementioned 28 enterprises, 11 have revenues exceeding VND 1 trillion, and 6 are listed among Vietnam's 500 largest private enterprises in 2024 by Vietnam Report. In 2025, the total revenue of these 28 enterprises, specializing in key industrial products, is projected to reach approximately VND 59 trillion.
To ensure a growth rate of over 8% for the entire year of 2025, Hanoi's industry and trade sector has been diligently implementing the directives, resolutions, and tasks assigned by the Central Government and Hanoi City. To date, key indicators for Hanoi's industry and trade sector in 2025 continue to show positive growth, making a significant contribution to Hanoi's overall growth.
Specifically, in the first ten months of 2025, Hanoi's Industrial Production Index (IIP) increased by 6.9% year-on-year, with processing and manufacturing growing by 7%; electricity production and distribution by 5.5%; and water supply, wastewater, and waste treatment by 6.6%. This achievement is inseparable from Hanoi's industrial production enterprises and the recognized leading industrial product manufacturers. (over)
