According to Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com), Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Environment revealed that in October 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 71,900 tons, with an export value of US$403.5 million. In the first ten months of the year, cumulative coffee exports reached 1.3 million tons, with an export value of US$7.41 billion, a record high, representing a year-on-year increase of 61.8%. The average export price of coffee reached US$5,653 per ton, a year-on-year increase of 42.5%. Significant growth was observed in some markets, particularly Mexico, where export value increased by 34.7 times.

The Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association believes that coffee exports may exceed US$8 billion in 2025, achieving the original target of 2030 many years ahead of schedule. Three main factors driving this breakthrough in coffee exports include: improved product quality, an increased proportion of deep processing, and market expansion based on a long-term strategy.

According to data from the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association, low coffee prices before 2020 led many farmers to reduce their planting area, resulting in a decrease in supply. Meanwhile, businesses are increasing investment in sustainable production chains, improving quality, and meeting international standards. Amidst supply shortages and rising demand, coffee prices have risen to record highs. Free trade agreements, particularly with the European Union (EU), have also spurred businesses and farmers to transform towards higher quality and development standards.

The achievements by 2025 demonstrate that Vietnam's coffee industry has gradually formed a responsible production ecosystem from raw materials to processing. This will help enhance the position of Vietnamese coffee in the global market and lay the foundation for future sustainable growth. (End)
