Ningxia Helan Mountain East Foothills wines showcased at the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Reporters learned on November 8th from the Management Committee of the Ningxia Helan Mountain East Foothills Wine Industrial Park that during the 17th Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair, wineries from the Ningxia Helan Mountain East Foothills wine region made a group appearance. Fourteen boutique wineries with geographical indication and import/export qualifications participated in the exhibition, showcasing the exceptional terroir and quality of Chinese wines to the world.

  The fair, held from November 6th to 8th at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, attracted over 620 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions. During the three-day event, visitors could enjoy tastings and purchase wines from around the world, including those from the Helan Mountain East Foothills region.

  More than 40 events and conferences were held during the fair, and several competition results were announced. Among them, a masterclass from the Ningxia Helan Mountain East Foothills wine region led representatives from the catering industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, industry experts, and wine enthusiasts in an in-depth tasting of eight representative wines from the Helan Mountain East Foothills region. This tasting list spans a variety of wine types, including sparkling, dry white, dry red, and sweet white, fully showcasing the diverse achievements and boundless potential of the Helan Mountain East Foothills in varietal exploration and stylistic expression.

  The Helan Mountain East Foothills is an indispensable "golden region" on the world wine map. Adhering to the "estate wine" development model, the region has established a rigorous production standard system through a series of measures, including the introduction of China's first medium- and long-term plan for the wine industry, the promulgation of regional protection regulations, and the implementation of a winery classification management system. Currently, Ningxia wines are exported to more than 40 countries and regions, becoming a "purple calling card" for Ningxia to engage with the world.

  The "Jiangnan of the Northwest" and the "Pearl of the Orient" have forged a bond through wine, engaging in mutual exchanges and creating a story of cooperation that transcends mountains and seas. Over the years, business and academic figures from Hong Kong have visited Ningxia multiple times, making wine a key focus of Ningxia-Hong Kong economic and trade exchanges, helping Helan Mountain East Foothills wines reach a broader international market.
