Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – From November 6th to 8th, the World Textile Merchants Conference was held in Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. During the conference, the 2025 Roundtable Meeting of Renowned Entrepreneurs was held, where more than ten representatives from the global textile industry discussed four major topics under the theme of "International Competition and Cooperation – Reconstructing a New Pattern of the Global Textile Value Chain": innovation-driven development, green development, brand building, and globalization.

"Currently, the world is undergoing rapid changes, and global textile companies are focusing on scientific and technological innovation to revitalize the industry," said Zhang Hongxia, Party Secretary and General Manager of Shandong Weiqiao Venture Group and Special Vice President of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, at the event. She cited her company as an example, noting that it develops over 3,000 new products annually and has built a "full-category + high-end" product matrix.

As a textile enterprise in Keqiao, Zhejiang Yingfeng Technology Co., Ltd. places particular emphasis on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in production processes. Fu Shuangli, Chairman of the company, stated at the conference, "We have already completed five application scenarios in cooperation with robotics companies, three of which have shown substantial efficiency improvements."

Currently, 12 textile enterprises in Shaoxing City have been designated as national-level smart factories in China. After undergoing "intelligent transformation and digital upgrading," these enterprises have seen an average increase in production efficiency of 32.2% and an average decrease in production costs of 18%, with innovation continuously accumulating momentum for high-quality development in the textile industry.

Global textile companies, including Chinese enterprises, regard intelligent applications and green development as strategic directions.

"For German textile companies, the establishment of global green standards is a new path to promote technological progress, drive the development of a circular economy, and form a shared vision for international cooperation," said Alan Foster, Operations Director for Asia Pacific at CHT Group, who attended the conference. He added that his company is developing bio-based materials and hopes to expand energy materials into more application scenarios to fulfill humanity's shared mission of protecting the Earth's environment.

Patricia Lerat, founder of the French Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion, is more concerned with the fashion design sector within the textile industry chain. In her view, companies from different countries could establish international collaborative innovation labs around brand building and design innovation. Through cooperation between brands, they could promote cultural exchange and mutual learning, stimulate each other's creative inspiration, and jointly explore a cross-integrated global brand IP market.

"Currently, global textile companies are increasingly recognizing the importance of 'international competition and cooperation'," said Pan Jianhua, Party Secretary and Chairman of Zhejiang China Textile City Group Co., Ltd. He explained that in recent years, the company has focused on digital construction, striving to connect five major digital scenarios: production and dyeing, logistics, warehousing, management, and transactions. While forming the "China Textile City Brain," it has also integrated AI large-scale model platform tools and built the "Cloud Chain Global Fabric, Digital New Silk Road—China Textile City Overseas Exhibition and Trade Alliance."

"As an 'International Textile Capital,' Shaoxing seeks breakthroughs in the new round of technological and industrial revolution and will join hands with the global textile industry to discuss a new pattern of value chain reconstruction," said Wu Dengfen, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shaoxing Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shaoxing, at the meeting. Sun Ruizhe, Party Secretary and President of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, stated that China's practices in the textile sector are of reference value to countries around the world. He added that Chinese enterprises are willing to join hands with global textile industry practitioners to create a better future for humanity. (End)
