Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The launch ceremony for Changsha's "Sweet Economy" and the brand release conference for "Love You So Much, Shine in Changsha" were held on the 12th. Chen Bozhang, Deputy Secretary of the Changsha Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, attended and announced the official launch of Changsha's "Sweet Economy."
It is understood that Changsha, a youthful, romantic, and sweet city, is transforming "sweetness" into a new driving force for urban development by improving the quality of marriage registration services, strengthening the deep integration of the marriage and love industry, and innovatively constructing a complete industrial chain of "love, shopping, film, gifts, banquets, accommodation, tourism, and entertainment."
The event also announced the first batch of enterprises supported by Changsha's "Sweet Economy." This signifies that Changsha has established a three-way collaborative mechanism of "government guidance, media empowerment, and enterprise assistance," providing young people with a full-chain service from emotional connection to settling down through industry linkages.
Statistics show that in 2025, 63,548 couples registered for marriage in Changsha, a year-on-year increase of 56%. Since the nationwide implementation of marriage registration on May 10th, Changsha has attracted 1,706 couples from other provinces to marry there.
It is understood that Changsha has been rated as one of China's "Most Livable Cities" for 18 consecutive years. To actively respond to young people's aspirations for a happy life, the city is adopting a "multi-pronged approach, system integration, and comprehensive improvement" strategy to coordinate service optimization, scenario expansion, and experience upgrades. The city's marriage registration centers are continuously innovating service models, strengthening the management of matchmaking agencies, advocating positive views on marriage and childbearing, and combining Changsha's unique characteristics with the pursuits of young people, as well as combining new era trends with excellent traditional culture, to fully build the city brand of "Love You So Much, Brilliant Changsha."
It is worth noting that Changsha will initially offer "Star City Honey Cards" to out-of-town couples who register for marriage locally, and will gradually cover local newlyweds through city-district collaboration. Relying on the "Star City Honey Card" digital platform, Changsha is accelerating the construction of a policy system covering multiple areas such as fertility support, housing security, employment promotion, and entrepreneurship support. This systematic approach aims to reduce the cost of living for young people settling and developing in the city, effectively enhancing their sense of gain and happiness, and setting a new benchmark for building a youth-friendly city.
