Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On January 22nd, the "Ice Super" 2026 China·Suihua Second International Youth Short-Distance Cross-Country Skiing Challenge kicked off in Suihua City. Over 300 young athletes from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and various provinces and cities in China participated in the two-day competition.
The opening ceremony was held on the 21st, featuring the unveiling of the "Cross-Country Skiing Mini-Class." This platform will leverage local ice and snow resources to provide regular training and educational services for young people.
The challenge is being held on 1.5km, 2.5km, and 5km international standard courses built using the unique terrain of Jin Gui Mountain Villa in Beilin District, Suihua City. The competition includes multiple age groups and 12 events covering short-distance individual and relay races.

The event venue also features a variety of ice and snow entertainment projects, including an ice and snow wonderland, snow tubing tracks, and an ice lantern art exhibition, attracting over 10,000 visitors daily. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Beilin District of Suihua City systematically launched a high-quality tourism route integrating "ice and snow sports experience, cold-region health and leisure, and Northeast folk culture." Inside the competition venue, Beilin District set up a large-scale ice and snow New Year's goods market and special agricultural product exhibition booths, divided into multiple functional areas such as festivals, food, and local specialties, showcasing more than 130 products from 19 enterprises across the district. The visit of international athletes and tourists promoted cultural exchange and broadened Beilin's international perspective. Beilin District will continue to deepen the integrated development model of "sports + culture and tourism + industry," constantly enriching the ice and snow economy and striving to transform the "cold resources" of winter into a "hot industry" supporting high-quality development.
This event was supported by the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau and the Heilongjiang Provincial Ski Association, and hosted by the Suihua Municipal Sports Bureau and the Beilin District People's Government of Suihua City. (End)
