  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Data released by the National Energy Administration shows that in 2025, the total electricity traded in the national electricity market reached 6,639.4 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%, accounting for 64% of the total electricity consumption, an increase of 1.3 percentage points year-on-year.

  In terms of trading scope, intra-provincial trading volume reached 5,047.3 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%; inter-provincial and inter-regional trading volume reached 1,592.1 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 11.6%, of which inter-grid operating area trading volume reached 3.4 billion kWh.

  In terms of trading types, medium- and long-term trading volume reached 6,352.2 billion kWh; spot trading volume reached 287.2 billion kWh. Green electricity trading volume reached 328.5 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 38.3%.

  In 2025, a normalized electricity trading mechanism across grid operating areas was established. Based on the electricity trading organized by the State Grid and China Southern Power Grid respectively, an "Online Electricity Mall" was established to ensure the efficient operation of the unified national electricity market system. During the peak summer season, the Southern Region supplied electricity to Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Anhui for the first time; in October, the State Grid and China Southern Power Grid achieved cross-regional power allocation for the first time through spot trading.
