Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – With the approval of the Rongcheng District Committee of Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, the Rongcheng District Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has filed a case for investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal violations of Fang Kunxiong, former Party Secretary and Director of the Rongcheng District Market Supervision Administration.
The investigation revealed that Fang Kunxiong had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original aspirations and mission, disregarded the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Regulation, accepted gifts and money that could influence the impartial performance of his official duties, and accepted banquets that could influence the impartial performance of his official duties; he abused his power for personal gain, using his position to seek benefits for others in project contracting, complaint handling, and case investigation, and illegally accepted huge amounts of money and property.
Fang Kunxiong seriously violated the Party's discipline on integrity, constituted serious job-related violations, and is suspected of bribery. Moreover, he did not restrain himself after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, indicating the serious nature and egregious impact of his actions, warranting severe punishment. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on Disciplinary Sanctions of the Communist Party of China", the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China", and the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Administrative Sanctions for Public Officials", and upon approval by the Standing Committee of the Rongcheng District Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Rongcheng District Committee, it was decided to expel Fang Kunxiong from the Party; cancel his corresponding retirement benefits as stipulated; confiscate his illegal gains; and transfer his suspected criminal case to the procuratorial organ for investigation and prosecution in accordance with the law, with all related assets transferred as well.
